Pineau des Charentes – History

According to the history, the Pineau des Charentes is a coincidence and was created by a winemaker from Charente in 1589. The man poured by mistake grape pressing into a barrel which contained cognac. Few years later, when he needed the barrel, he discovered a tasty and sunny beverage.  Since, this tradition became a knowledge respected by winemaker, proof of quality and pleasure.
