There are about forty producers on the Ré Island. Salt workers offer to visitors the opportunity to discover their know-how and tools, as well as many other elements that testify of the importance of this heritage.

“Fleur de Sel” :
What makes the Ré Island Salt famous is the quality of its “Fleur de Sel”. The « Fleur de Sel » represents the small white crystals that are formed on the surface of the water thanks to the wind and the sun.  The “Fleur de Sel” decorates the finest dishes by underlining the freshness and the nature of food. We can also find its unique taste in ice creams or in caramiel.
